MeraConnect (“MeraConnect,” “we,” “us” or “our”) provides daily memories, quizzes, polls and games inspired by Indian life and culture.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices available to you when you use the MeraConnect website and related services.

You may provide us with information when you:

• Sign up for WhatsApp reminders
• Answer a poll or participate in an activity
• Send us feedback

Depending on the feature you use, this information may include:

• Your WhatsApp phone number
• Your optional name
• Your reminder consent and subscription status
• Your poll answers or other responses
• Feedback or messages you send to us

You can use the daily memories, quizzes, polls and games without providing your name or phone number.

When you use MeraConnect, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, including:

• Operating system

We do not use your WhatsApp phone number for purposes unrelated to the reminders or communications you requested.

WhatsApp reminders

WhatsApp reminders are optional. We send them only after you provide your phone number and agree to receive them.

If you sign up:

• We store your WhatsApp phone number and reminder consent status.
• We may send you reminders when new MeraConnect content is available.
• Reminder timing and delivery are not guaranteed.
• MeraConnect does not charge for reminders, although your usual internet or data charges may apply.
• WhatsApp and Meta may process information according to their own privacy policies.

You can stop reminders at any time by replying STOP, using an available unsubscribe option or contacting us at meraconnect4@gmail.com.

After you opt out, we will remove your number from our active reminder list. We may retain a limited record of your opt-out request to help ensure that we do not accidentally send you additional reminders.

We do not sell or rent WhatsApp phone numbers.

Analytics and cookies

MeraConnect uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the service, which pages and activities are opened, and how we can improve the experience.

Google Analytics may collect information such as:

• Pages visited
• Activities opened or completed
• Session duration
• Approximate location
• Browser and device information
• Cookie or device identifiers

We use analytics for product improvement and performance measurement. We do not intentionally send names, WhatsApp phone numbers or the content of personal messages to Google Analytics.

You can limit cookies through your browser settings. Blocking or deleting browser storage may cause MeraConnect to forget completed activities, scores or preferences.

MeraConnect does not currently use information for third-party targeted advertising.

How we share information

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate MeraConnect, including providers of:

• Database storage
• Image and media delivery, such as Cloudinary
• Website analytics, such as Google Analytics
• Messaging services, such as WhatsApp and Meta
• Error monitoring and security

These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with applicable laws or legal requests
• Protect the rights, safety and security of MeraConnect or others
• Investigate fraud, misuse or security incidents
• Support a merger, acquisition or transfer of MeraConnect, if one occurs

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

In general:

• WhatsApp contact information is retained while reminders remain active.
• Numbers are removed from the active reminder list after an opt-out request is processed.
• A limited suppression record may be retained to prevent unwanted reminders.
• Feedback and support messages are retained while needed to respond and improve the service.
• Analytics information is retained according to our analytics settings.
• Information stored in your browser remains until you or your browser clears it.

We may retain information for longer when required by law, security needs or the resolution of a dispute.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include encrypted connections, restricted administrative access and protected service credentials.

No website or storage system can guarantee complete security. You use MeraConnect and provide information at your own discretion.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact us to request that we:

• Explain what personal information we have about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your personal information
• Stop WhatsApp reminders
• Answer a question about how your information is used

We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.

Children’s privacy

MeraConnect is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to MeraConnect, please contact us at meraconnect4@gmail.com so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

International users

MeraConnect and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy laws in these locations may differ from those in your country.

By using MeraConnect, you understand that information may be processed in locations where we and our service providers operate, subject to applicable law.

MeraConnect may contain links to third-party websites or services, including WhatsApp or embedded media.
